My BSBP second necklace. Today I finished the second necklace.   With a lampwork focal bead I used the copper rings/washers and the fibers as part of the necklace.   The  3 different fibers were braided together and woven through some of the copper rings.  I also added a few copper bead caps and a clasp.   I was attempting to use at least one of each of the items but I didn't quite make it.

I just returned from a trip after being gone for 2 weeks.  I worked on this necklace when I had a chance, which was only one day while I was away.  I used the focal and the clasp with some of the beads she sent in this necklace along with, of course, seed beads!    I am working on another piece using more of the pieces Holly sent me.  I'll post it soon, so check back to see it.   The Bead Soup

Beading for a Cure 2011. This is "Soyala" my Winter Wonderland Challenge Doll for the Beaded Art Dolls group. It finally stopped snowing long enough for me to go out with her and photograph her in the snow. I think it's appropriate that she be in the snow...I mean after all she is a Winter Goddess! Some booth photos from my Studio Tour. That weekend the temps were in the mid 90's. Waaaayy too hot to be comfortable. I ended up resetting my booth to get more air circulating into the area. I actually started to make this doll a few years ago and never finished. She only had a body when I discovered her in my unfinished dolls box, so I added her face, hands and feet and then her embellishments brought her to life. So I realized I haven't posted anything for an entire month.  I have been so busy working outside with the landscaping that I haven't created anything in my studio.  I am finishing up on some of the projects outside and will have more time in the not too distant future.  I miss my studio!  I finally got all the dirt leveled out and now I am working on getting some grass seed started.  Not so easy

Well, I finally finished my mask for the challenge and mailed it off on Friday.  I have named her 'Starstruck' for obvious reasons.  It was a long process, at least I spent more time than I had originally wanted to.  But that is because I beaded the majority of it using  size 15's with a Boucle stitch.  I did most of the beading on some felt in separate pieces, then glued it to the mask and did a

So we had a marvelous 8 days in Maui.  Here are some of the beautiful pictures from our trip. The first 3 were actually towards the end of our stay.   A rainbow shot, a full moon shot near the beach we were married on, and a sunset from the boat where we took a dinner cruise.  The second three pictures here are a view from our room .  We stayed at the Kaanapali Shores and had a garden view room.

I finally finished the beginnings of my art doll bead along. I just posted the pictures of my progress so far. Since I don't really know the color of arsenic, I am just using up some pieces of colored lace that I've had in my stash for a long, long, long time and I am glad to use them.
